If you are in this industry finding a dry cleaning marketing method that works, well can be difficult. Unfortunately most people in the dry cleaning industry simply look to each other when they are trying to find “new” ways to advertise. Unfortunately 99 out of a 100 times this doesn’t work because you don’t know how many times the marketing piece had been copied, changed nor do you know if the marketing piece was even profitable in the first place.
There are three good ways to come up with dry cleaning marketing methods that work.
1. Innovate – This one is easy, sit down and simply write down every marketing idea or promotion you have. Don’t worry if one seems crazy or it doesn’t sound like something you would do, just write it down. After you have brainstormed find the idea you like the most. You may have to take a few ideas and combine them together, that’s ok.
2. Swipe and Deploy – There is nothing wrong with swiping a marketing idea from someone else, all the great marketers do it. But instead of looking at the dry cleaning industry to find your next great marketing idea, I want you to look outside of our industry; this is where I get some of my best marketing breakthroughs.
3. Take a Shortcut – Sometimes it is easier to shortcut your way to success than it is to try and reinvent the wheel yourself. To shortcut the process find someone who can give you proven marketing that already works for your industry. You may have to spend a few bucks upfront but in the long run many times this is the shortest path to success,
You can come up with all the great dry cleaning marketing methods you want but if you leave out this last step you will be leaving a ton of money on the table.
Test and Track! You have to track each and every offer you put out there and make sure the marketing piece is working. If you don’t test and track each one unfortunately you’ll never know what is bringing you a return on your marketing dollar and what is losing you money.
